On the afternoon of September 26, the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Construction Science and Technology organized the forum “Sharing Experiences in Real Estate Project Investment in the New Era” at HODECO’s head office.
Participating as a keynote speaker, Mr. Doan Huu Thuan, Vice President of the Association and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ba Ria – Vung Tau House Development Joint Stock Company (HODECO), shared practical perspectives on project investment.

The event was attended by Mr. Le Xuan Tu, Chairman of the Tam Thang Ward People’s Committee; Mr. Ha Huu Dung, Vice Chairman of the Tam Thang Ward People’s Committee; representatives from the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Ho Chi Minh City Branch (VCCI-HCM); leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Construction Science and Technology; alongside speakers, Executive Board members, and approximately 60 delegates representing local construction and real estate investment enterprises.
Alongside Mr. Doan Huu Thuan, the panel of speakers included Mr. Le Nhu Thach, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Construction Science and Technology and Chairman of Bcons Construction Investment Joint Stock Company; Mr. Duong Hong Cam, General Director of Phat Dat Holdings; Mr. Le Dinh Thang, Chairman of Dicera Holdings; and Mr. Ngo Quang Phuc, General Director of Phu Dong Real Estate Joint Stock Company.
Drawing from their practical experience in project development and investment, the speakers held candid discussions on operational challenges and bottlenecks during project execution. They also exchanged strategic viewpoints on investment planning, product selection aligned with market demands, and growth opportunities for real estate in the new era.
A central topic of discussion was the impact of the two-tier local governance model, which significantly streamlines administrative procedures for investment projects. Key insights shared from hands-on practice included: mastering legal frameworks and investment procedures before execution; establishing structured medium- and long-term capital mobilization plans; proactively securing land banks for future growth; adjusting profit margins in response to market dynamics; and building enduring credibility with market participants and partners.
Speaking at the forum, Mr. Le Xuan Tu, Chairman of the Tam Thang Ward People’s Committee, commended the contributions of real estate developers and enterprises in generating social value and supporting national development.

Mr. Le Xuan Tu noted that the local government of Tam Thang Ward understands the hardships and concerns faced by developers during real estate project execution. He reaffirmed the ward administration’s commitment to supporting and creating favorable conditions for businesses in navigating administrative procedures.
Furthermore, Mr. Le Xuan Tu recommended that the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Construction Science and Technology continue holding seminars and dialogues between enterprises, local authorities, and municipal departments to promptly address bottlenecks, enabling businesses to stabilize operations, expand execution, and achieve sustainable growth.
The participation of Mr. Doan Huu Thuan as a keynote speaker highlighted HODECO’s practical expertise in real estate development while demonstrating its active engagement in professional activities, industry networking, and knowledge-sharing within the construction and real estate community.
