The Prime Minister gave the directing ideas about Bien Hoa-Vung Tau expressway project

The Prime Minister agreed to the principle to adjust and separate the section from Vung Van intersection to the coastal intersection of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project into the local road.

The Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Transport and the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to take the next steps in accordance with the law on planning.

The People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province is responsible for allocating the local budget and mobilizing other lawful capital sources to invest in the route mentioned above, to ensure compliance with the law.

It is known that Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway has a total length of 77.8km and is divided into 2 component projects.

The first component project from Bien Hoa (Dong Nai) to Phu My town (BR-VT) has a total length of 38km; the starting point intersects with the National Highway 1A passing through Bien Hoa city, 6.5km from Vung Tau intersection;  the end point connects the branch road to Cai Mep - Thi Vai port. The project is designed with 6 lanes, only the section passing Long Thanh airport has 8 lanes.

The second component project from Phu My town to Vung Tau city (including 28km of expressway and 2.7km of urban road) is designed with 4 lanes.

The total investment capital is expected to be VND 25,743 billion; in which the cost for site clearance is nearly VND 7,000 billion paid by the central and local budgets. The construction and installation is in the form of a public - private partnership investment with a BOT contract.

The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway is an important traffic infrastructure project creating the connection between major cities in the region such as Bien Hoa, Nhon Trach, Ba Ria - Vung Tau. This project also may bring many positive effects to the real estate market in areas where the expressway passes.
