Five construction works that were illegally built along Nguyen An Ninh and Nguyen Thai Hoc streets in the area around Hodeco Plaza (ward 7) not only affected badly the urban beauty but also caused frustration among the people. In December, Vung Tau city will carry out the enforcement of removing these works.

We found that in the Hodeco Plaza apartment area, at the front of the building at Nguyen An Ninh street, there are 4 illegal constructions to trade clothes, telecommunications equipment ... Also at the front of Nguyen Thai street, a coffee shop with the area of about 60 m2 was erected illegally.

According to the People's Committee of Ward 7, these construction works (belonging to land plot No. 276, map sheet No. 14) with a total area of more than 4,607 m2 are the types of land for production and business that were given land use rights No. 707564 dated 6/4/2011 by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for Ba Ria-Vung Tau House Development JSC (Hodeco). The origin of use is the land leased by the State with annual rental payment.

During the period from 2018 to the beginning of 2020, the Management Board of Hodeco Plaza apartment building organized the illegal construction and put out to lease the 5 above instruction works, including: Bazan coffee shop at  Nguyen Thai Hoc street frontage, has an  area of ​​63.1 m2, iron column frame structure, corrugated iron roof, brick wall, built in October 2018; Petshop clothing store, at Nguyen An Ninh street frontage, has an area of ​​79.2 m2 with brick wall structure, corrugated iron roof, built on September 19, 2018; Tung Coffee Shop, at Nguyen An Ninh Street frontage, has an area of ​​36.2 m2, brick wall structure, corrugated iron roof, built in October 2019; Met Chan toast shop at Nguyen An Ninh street frontage, with an area of ​​19.4 m2, brick wall structure, corrugated iron roof, built on March 18, 2019; Anh Huy Telecommunication Technology Trading Service Co., Ltd is located at Nguyen An Ninh street frontage, has an area of ​​68 m2, brick wall structure, corrugated iron roof, built on January 1, 2020.

Regarding the above violations, on August 7, 2020, Vung Tau City People's Committee issued Decision No. 3685 / QD-XPVPHC on sanction of administrative violations in construction activities for the Management Board of Hodeco Plaza apartment building ( 36 Nguyen Thai Hoc street, ward 7).

In addition, Vung Tau City People's Committee also requires the Management Board of Hodeco Plaza apartment building to dismantle the unauthorized construction works within 10 days from the date of receiving the decision on sanctioning of the administrative violation. If the Management Board of the Hodeco Plaza apartment building does not dismantle, the authorities will take enforcement measures according to regulations. However, the Management Board of the Hodeco Plaza apartment building does not take any action. On September 30, 2020, Vung Tau City People's Committee issued Decision No. 4832 / QD-CCXP to force the implementation of remedial measures for the above 5 violated construction works, assigned the People's Committee of Ward 7 to coordinate with the functional forces of Vung Tau City to deal with the violation.

Talking to reporters of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Chairman of Ward 7 People's Committee, said that the illegal construction works located at the main roads of the city - Nguyen Thai Hoc and Nguyen An. Ninh affected the urban beauty. “On November 30, the local government and local departments established an interdisciplinary team to continue mobilizing the Management Board of Hodeco Plaza apartment building to dismantle the works by themselves to avoid coercive damage. If the Management Board of the Hodeco Plaza apartment building does not comply, it is expected that in mid-December 2020, the People's Committee of Ward 7 will coordinate with the functional forces of Vung Tau City to force the dismantlement of the works ”, said Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh.
